Tekamba Computers is proud to announce our newest service offering – Tek Service Plans!!!

  • Are you a small business owner who doesn’t have the resources to maintain your own IT department?
  • Do you have a panic attack each time something happens to your PC, afraid of what the cost might be?
  • Would you like a dependable source you know you can call on to take care of servicing your technology?
  • If you answered yes to any of those questions then our new service is designed exactly for you!

Tekamba’s Tek Service Plans are for the PC owner (home or business) that likes to know that the little things are planned for. By signing up for one of our Tek Service Plans to support your computer systems (whether you have one computer in your home or business, or dozens of computers throughout your company) our Tek Service Plans will help to give you peace of mind.

The basis is straightforward, you pay a small monthly fee as a member of one of our Tek Service Plans, and then, when disaster strikes (as it is guaranteed to do), you call on us to take care of it. You pay a small co-pay amount (for the labor fees) based on your chosen plan, and that’s it. Whether it requires two or ten hours, you don’t pay anything above your co-pay amount to cover the labor costs. This gives you the comfort of knowing much more accurately what it is going to take to get your PC operational again.

If you would prefer to do your best to avoid even minor problems with your computer, we also have plans for both home and business users where we pro-actively check your computer for you each month to maintain it running at it’s best possible state. Quite often, during our monthly check, we can even spot potential hardware problems and help you with a sensible solution, a lot of the time even BEFORE you would notice the part is failing!

If you would like more information about our Tek Service Plans – please click on the Tek Service Plans link at the top, or right here in this notification!

Tekamba Computers looks forward to taking the guesswork out of PC bills, and making sure your computer is working FOR you, and not against.

    Beware the side effects…

    Thursday, August 4th, 2011

This morning I was on my way to a class I was taking part of in Prescott that was about “Customer Service”. On the way there I noticed a vehicle that was emblazoned, I mean EMBLAZONED with a local businesses name. There was no mistaking who this vehicle belonged to. As we were traveling down the road I was in the lane to the left of this vehicle, and in front of him was another vehicle that could have been going a little quicker, but wasn’t “slow” by any means. This other vehicle slowed a bit more to pull into a driveway we were passing, and the driver in the company vehicle laid onto his horn for a LONG time period. I would assume to express his displeasure over the slowness of the other vehicle. I suppose there could have been some other reasoning for it, but either way it sent out a definite message. The first thought in my head was, “Wow, that guy has a really short temper, wonder if he acts that way while working on clients projects?”.

Now, let’s be totally fair, it’s possible he had just received some bad news, was having a generally bad morning, or a myriad of other possibilities. But the bottom line is you are out representing the company you work for (or, even worse, you own?) so you have to be MORE cognizant of what your actions are portraying to those around you. I wasn’t the only vehicle in the area, and I would hazard to guess that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Typically (in my experience) people are either that “aggressive” in their driving or they aren’t.

I wholly intend to contact the company in question and let them know what I witnessed and just let them know they may want to be more cautious of who they let behind the wheel of their moving billboard in the future. But I also wanted to take a moment to mention to everyone out there who has their vehicle marked up in a similar manner (and those that don’t for that matter – myself included) to remember that everyone has their reason for their actions while on the road. Maybe that driver had to slow because there was a person/animal crossing the driveway that the driver behind couldn’t see, maybe they were simply distracted for a moment and didn’t realize how slow they were moving. At some point, I’ll put money on the fact that YOU will be the driver in that front vehicle and someone will get a little perturbed at your actions. Hopefully they think for a minute, and display a little courtesy and restraint.

Be aware of the perception you are displaying to the public at large, you never know WHO might witness it, and who them might share it with. Especially in this day of “social media” one small wrong move on your part could have far reaching implications that you couldn’t even begin to realize at the time.

    Just wanted to share…
